Peteris Vasks has had a strong connection to Lithuania ever since he studied at the Lithuanian Conservatory in Vilnius. The Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra have performed many major works by this distinguished composer such as Lonely Angel, Distant Light, Da pace, Domine, often with the composer himself attending the concerts.
